Upon seeing "Titanic" in it's mega-hit run it has always been Janice's deepest desire to be Rose and have sex in a car with a poor boy named Jack. Now, thanks to Richard and Brandon, her dreams are finally realized. Janice hasn't had sex in a car since… well let's just say, she hasn't had sex in a car. Playing opposite Al Pacino is another dream of Janice's, but thanks to CRF this dream has gone beyond reality because she gets to actually BE Al Pacino. That wasn't an earthquake you felt last week, that was Janice's dead Italian Grandmother howling with delight. Ooo Aah! |
Carlton Z. Clay's awesomeness truly speaks for itself. Have you seen his picture? Just take a moment and look at it. You've fallen in love, haven't you? Don't blame yourself. We're all powerless to it. Carlton has been known to say, "If I'm not in it, it's no good." To this day, we've found no one who can argue with that. Carlton will be available for a brief Q&A following each performance. |
Curt descends from the San Francisco bay area. There, he ran a successful pitbull fighting racket but it just wasn't vicious enough. It was then, he decided to try acting. In L.A. at Theatre East, he performed in sketch comedy troops THE ODD SQUAD and BEER, SEX AND CHICKEN. Look out for Curt in an upcoming Febreze commercial where he sprays a sofa, then enjoys nachos. He will also appear in "The Comeback" on HBO as the adorable and mysterious Usher (maybe not adorable and mysterious, but the Usher part is true). He is thrilled to return to his sketch comedy roots and vicious nature. Thanks Brandon, Richard and Elizabeth! |
Sarah Colonna's mother has written several letters to Jay Leno, asking him to please give her "her break," noting that she'd like to see Sarah on Leno before she dies. If you guys enjoy the show, please write your own letter to Mr. Leno, every little bit helps. If you see her after the show, be sure to mention that you too are a member of the Ken Wahl fan club - www.kenwahl.com - but be warned, she will kick your butt in "Wiseguy" trivia. |
Mike Hannus is beyond thrilled to be a part of the "Cutting Room Floor" cast. But more importantly, he is absolutely floored that he appears on the CRF cast web page. This is amazing! I'm on the web! I feel like Bill Gates over here! Check back often, as this space will soon host my hilarious daily musings that we internet types call a "blog." |
If Brandon Keener could have anything in this world, it would be a sit down conversation with Eddie Money. Barring that, he'd like to know why "Boy Meets World" didn't automatically turn into "Man Meets World"? Savages, these people are… At our recent CRF yard sale, Brandon sold a beautiful "like new" orange and white track suit for $2. He'd let the customer talk him down from $3. That's why this production seems so lackluster. |
Elizabeth spent much of her bespectacled, stressed-out childhood feeling that something was missing from her favorite films. The CRF project finally brought her a sense of completion. It's a privilege to be associated with the important work of these illustrious professors and talented performers. When she's not aiding and abetting the search for discarded scripts, she works as a casting associate, most recently on HBO's "The Comeback" and the miniseries "Into the West." By the way, does anyone else here like Frito Chili Pie? |
Andrew Leman is currently the slave of the mighty Cthulhu, and spends most of his time fashioning elaborate graven images of the Great Old One. It is his most fervent hope that soon this work will be released upon the world, and that his thralldom will end. Meanwhile, he pins what little hope remains of salvaging his sanity to this, his first venture into sketch comedy. Clearly, his is a desperate situation. In a previous life Leman was an actor, appearing in numerous plays with Theatre Banshee in Los Angeles, and with The Cypress Group in Chicago. With his longtime collaborator Sean Branney he wrote, among many other things, the Lovecraftian musical-that-should-not-be, "A Shoggoth on the Roof," which will premiere this fall in Stockholm, in Swedish, if you can believe that. |
In addition to "Cutting Room Floor," this summer Jennifer will choreograph the film American Dreamz, directed by Paul Weitz, starring Hugh Grant and Dennis Quaid. She’ll also work with June Raphael and Casey Wilson on their two-woman show, Rode Hard and Put Away Wet, at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade space in LA. Her original dance theater pieces have been produced for EdgeFest and at Highways Performance Space, and she has choreographed for Cornerstone Theater Company, Theatre Banshee, Santa Clarita Rep, Marathon Productions, and collaborated with Company of Strangers at REDCAT. She has performed with Ken Roht’s Orphean Circus in the site-specific Growing With Ghosts, and again at the Evidence Room for Peace Squad Goes 99. Jennifer also teaches movement for actors at various studios and universities. |
Richard Lucas is the apple of his mom's eye, and who can blame her? He was 'Ronnie' in the award winning indie film "Tahiti"! While combining the looks of Michael J. Fox and Charles Manson with the charisma of Brother Theodore and the pithy wit of George W. Bush his work seems destined for the fast track to relative obscurity. Though wholly unoriginal, this native Pennsylvanian's favorite thing about sketch comedy is that it's quick and then it's gone - like his sense of responsibility. Richard's favorite film is "Duel" because no one sweats like Dennis Weaver. In the words of his beloved Aunt Peggy, "Richard, are you going to finish that?" |
David would like to refer to the words of his own CRF character, Professor Mcintyre, to describe himself: "Disturbing - arousing, yet disturbing." He would also like to offer a "shout out" to his protegé by asking, "Why can't you all be more like Carlton?" |
Stuart Hammond Paul appreciates the offer to talk about himself, but would prefer to decline at this time adding a quote from Cole Porter: "Don't make excuses and never explain anything." |
Deanna Raphael was most recently seen with sketch group Public Pool at the Comedy Central Stage. She was in a 2005 benefit production of "The Vagina Monologues" at the Malibu Stage Co, where she also
performed in Donald Margulie’s "Collected Stories" under the direction of Carmen Milito. Last year she starred in the short film "No Strings Attached" which was featured in the Los Angeles Film Festival and TarFest. |
Retta was born to George & Deborah who are excited their firstborn is keeping busy this summer but not thrilled to have to see her in that wig. Debbie has questioned Retta’s last few projects in which she has looked less than presentable. She just hopes that people recognize the work that she is doing instead of focusing on the “costumes” she’s asked to wear. She would also like people to notice Retta’s “pretty face." I'd like to thank Sarah for hooking me up with Brandon & Richard to do CRF. And I'd like to thank the rest of the cast for making me crack the hell up… especially Mike who has made "Strum the Lute" part of my lexicon. |
Grady Lee Richmond appreciates freedom more than you know. He enjoys gardening and watching water sports on TV. If you see him at Ralphs Market, he'll be in the bulk items aisle; it's just plain smart shopping. Don't be dismayed if Grady barks "Leave me alone" at you after the show. He's really saying, "a loan." On the nights when Grady can sleep, he dreams of unicorns and "Columbo" reruns. |
David Roberston is mistrustful of robots. David watches "Saved By The Bell" five times a day. He hates working and loves a good Filet-O-Fish sandwich. David predicted that The Lakers would win the NBA Chamionship this year, and he still holds on to a dream that The Buffalo Bills will do something to distill the pain of their four Super Bowl losses in the 90's. David really likes "Zapped!," not to mention "Zapped Again!" Why do you always have to mention "Zapped Again!"?!?! |
Reuben is the actual San Francisco native you may have heard about. When he is not waiting tables, Reuben can be seen giving the Studio Tour at Universal Studios and on Thursdays performing in the sketch comedy show "Gratuity Not Included" right here at Improv Olympic. He would like to thank Brandon and Richard for the opportunity, and is very proud to be a part of "Cutting Room Floor." |
Kristy first wore lipstick at age five in preparation for her beauty queen debut in the Miss Jacksonville, Arkansas pageant. That seemingly innocent occurrence has blossomed into a full blown lipstick fetish. At last count, Kristy had over 226 tubes. Seriously. Her signature color is "Twig"... in fact, she is probably reapplying as we speak. Pucker up! |
